Professor Angelo Pisani, Ph.D., CFEI
-Fire Expert: Pisani teaches Forensic Fire Investigation at St. John's University, NY. As a nationally certified fire expert, he has over 26 years public service and private sector experience. He has been described as one of the country's renowned fire investigators by CNN and was a featured guest on CNN News regarding the Brazilian Nightclub fire where 242 people lost their lives.
-Qualified Expert Witness: As a certified fire investigator, and former NYC F.D. Fire Investigator, Pisani has testified in high profile cases involving large monetary losses and multiple fatalities. One example is the multi-million dollar case involving AOL/Time Warner Headquarters in Manhattan, New York City. He has been retained by both plaintiff and defense attorneys.
-Fire Cause Analysis NY: As a fire analyst, Professor Pisani analyzes reports, photos, and other documents to determine the origin and cause of a fire in cases where the fire scene is no longer available.
-Forensic Fire Investigation Expert Witness: Before the opposing expert witness is qualified by the court, counsel must seek a "peer review analysis" to put the expert's fire investigation to the test of whether it conforms to the "standard of care" in the academic field of fire investigation as per the National Fire Protection Associations' "Guide For: Fire and Explosion Investigations (NFPA 921)".
